Here are a few basic tips while you look for a job or wait to leave:
-
Continuously keep an eye on the ISCP jobs page- Apply for any jobs that come available including physiotherapy assistant jobs as the experience of the application process can only be of benefit to you
-
Apply to volunteer in hospitals like the NRH, or in private practices to keep clinical skills fresh- Help out with local sports teams – this can be a great way to maintain clinical skills, improve taping and massage therapy skills, some clubs even provide a small fee your physio services.
-
There are some available musculoskeletal internship’s in some bigger private practices worth looking into depending on how long the internship offers.
-
There is nothing stopping you starting up your own exercise class such as pilates once you are qualified and registered to do so, rent a room in your local community centre and spread the word!!
